Mike Longo - The Awakening

Continuing with another Mike Longo album from Blue Burning Soul
Killer electric piano work from the mighty Mike Longo recorded at a time when he was definitely at the height of his powers
The album sports a rare Mainstream Records appearance from James Moody who was a frequent partner of Longos on sessions at the time particularly on some of Dizzy Gillespie's funky records
Recorded, 1972, NY

Soloists include Carmell Jones, Harold Land, Teddy Edwards, Walter Benton, Joe Maini, and Richard "Groove" Holmes, whose organ lines soar out over the top majestically
